(New) Here's a "Happiness Is" list I did many, many years ago, when I was living in Boulder, Colorado in the 90's, I think.
I read it now and find much of it saccharine and corny, but hey, saccharine and corny can be fun sometimes! At any rate, here it is
for your reading pleasure: Happiness Is (zip file) Note that there are
nine (9) pages but each page is a separate PDF file because of the way I scanned them; sorry about this.
Here's a piece I did on Timme Rosenkrantz,
an unsung but important figure in the world of Jazz.
Here's a one-pager that I did for my computer architecture class. It's called
Trouble at Pizza Pipeline. The idea
was to cram as many computer-architecture-related (and some software-related)
words into a single (silly) story. See if you can find them all yourself, and then
check your answers against the solution.
My good friend
Cheri Smith was telling me about a gag gift she bought a long time ago
at Spencer's Gifts or some place like that. It was a stick that hold multiple "signs"
on the end; you could flip to the sign that reflected your current mood or thought.
So in that vein, I decided to come up with my own sign changer. Actually, my idea was
to have only part of the sign change. You'll see what I mean when you check out
Mike's Pick-a-Sign. Note: contains
mature humor. It's short but you'll get the idea. Note that it's a PowerPoint
presentation so it requires the PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint viewer, which I
believe you can download from Microsoft or any of the free-downloads Web sites.
Here are some fun Tongue Twisters,
and here are two riddles:
Riddle 1, and
Riddle 2.
