Role Play Ideas

One of the most useful activities for English teachers and their students is role playing. It's often hard to simply get students speaking English, especially those who are shy or lack confidence. Role play is a great way to get people to come out of their shells and start speaking English.

The following role play scenarios were drawn from eclectic sources. Many were drawn from my own imagination; some were inspired by the news; and still others were converted from well known jokes or folk tales.
